Vector Thrust Wiki

The Su-35S is the second modernization of the Su-27 airframe. By testing characteristics that would eventually become present in the PAK-FA, the Su-35S hails itself as a Generation 4++ fighter. Compared to the original Su-35, the Su-35S is designed with emphasis on further improving the airframe, avionics, and propulsion. Lighter equipment made the use of canards unnecessary and thrust-vectoring engines allow for unprecedented maneuverability by the Flanker's standards, as well as supercruise capability.

Developer's reveal of the Su-35S

The Su-27 is a twin-engine supermanoeuverable fighter aircraft amongst the forefront of current generation military aviation. With phenomenal agility only surpassed by advanced fifth-generation stealth aircraft, a heavy weapons payload, and sophisticated, cutting-edge electronics, the Flanker family is amongst one of the only aircraft lines in the world capable of performing a Pugachev's Cobra, and boasts post-stall manoeuvering abilities. It has seen a number of developments into multirole strike fighters, and programs to further enhance its air-to-air abilities. This example is the continued evolution of the Su-27S variant, offering advanced Thrust Vectoring Control engines capable of independant movement, as well as an upgraded avionics package with ETI support, allowing information and targeting protocols to be transferred to allied aircraft.
