The Su-27UB (Flanker-C) is a two-seat trainer variant in the Su-27 family. Classified as a "combat trainer," it retains the flight and combat capabilities of the single-seat Su-27S with minimal design changes other than accommodating for a second seat. As a result, the Su-27UB was chosen as the basis for the prototypes leading to the Su-27PU, or Su-30.
