Developer's reveal of the Su-25KM

Designed as a loitering attack aircraft, the Su-25 has seen a myriad of upgrade programmes to enhance its original drawbacks in air-to-air and electronic capabilities, while maintaining its formidable air-to-ground features and survivability. The 'Frogfoot' boasts incredible endurance and ease of maintenance- designed to operate from unfinished or damaged airfields, it requires minimal support from ground crews and continues to be operational even after sustaining minor battle damage. The Frogfoot remains a vital asset in most air forces that currently wield it in their arsenal. The extensive Su-25KM project, nicknamed ‘Scorpion’ is a fairly recent update of the venerable series, introducing a glass cockpit, digital map generation software, helmet mounted display, and other modern technology in an attempt to maintain the Frogfoot’s performance in a modern battlefield.
