Description[]
The Jaguar is a twin-engine attack aircraft designed for use in the Close Air Support role with secondary reconnaissance capabilities. Originally designed to be a twin-seat combat trainer, design requirements had changed, to include the use of a single seat, leading to the current design of the Jaguar today. However, twin-seat trainer variants have been produced as well.
Jaguars have also seen a high degree of export use. An unusual feature of such Jaguar variants is that the hardpoints for its standard Air-to-Air missiles have been placed on top of the wing.
